The short version
We collect as little as possible. We don't sell your data, ever. Most of this site works without an account at all, and the parts that store anything mostly store it on your own device rather than our servers.
What we collect
If you create an account: your email address and password. That's it. We use it to let you sign in and to send occasional updates you can unsubscribe from at any time.
Stored on your device, not our servers: your quiz progress in the Education Hub, and your conversation history with Aura. This lives in your browser's local storage. Clear your browser data and it's gone. We don't have a copy.
Automatically: standard technical data any website receives, like browser type and general location by region. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages people find useful.
What we never collect: your financial account details, balances, or any numbers you enter into the calculators. The calculators run entirely in your browser. Those figures are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
Aura, our AI coach
When you chat with Aura, your messages are sent to an AI provider to generate her response. Don't share account numbers, passwords, seed phrases, or government ID numbers with her, or with any chatbot anywhere. She will never ask for them.
Your conversation history is stored in your browser so she can remember your context between visits. If we later add cross-device memory, it will require you to have an account and we'll update this policy before it happens.
Third parties we use
- Shopify handles all merchandise sales. When you click Merch you leave our site, and their privacy policy governs your purchase. We never see your payment details.
- An AI provider powers Aura and the Content Studio tools.
- Our web host serves the site and receives standard server logs.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. There is no advertising network tracking you across this site.
Cookies
We use the minimum needed for the site to function, plus analytics if enabled. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. You can block cookies in your browser and nearly everything here still works.
Your choices
- Use most of the site without an account at all.
- Delete your local data any time by clearing your browser storage.
- Request deletion of your account and email by contacting us.
- Unsubscribe from any email with the link in it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your information. Contact us and we'll honor them.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password here as you should everywhere.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and note the change on the site. Continuing to use iBestLife after a change means you accept the updated policy.
